Our in-house pharmacy offers expertly-trained staff and convenient access to oral cancer medications.
Many cancer treatment and supportive care drugs are available orally. Our oncology-experienced pharmacist is specially trained on the characteristics of these specialized drugs. She will carefully monitor appropriate dosages and medication interactions. The pharmacist also actively oversees the clinical pharmacy programs at our satellite offices.
Patients taking these oral medications are also closely followed by our Oncology Certified RN who speaks with patients about managing side effects, offers detailed information about how and when to take these medications, discusses precautions, answers questions and provides support.
Summit’s pharmacy also carries various over-the-counter items which help alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy drugs. We encourage you to inquire about anything you need clarified, as our staff is here to help.
